Our Programs

At TCS Preschool, we value and respect children’s natural ways of discovering and making sense of the world. Because we appreciate the unique qualities that each child brings to the classroom, our special programs seek to foster both individual confidence and a lifelong appreciation for community at every level. 

These "Grown Up & Me" Programs are a great way to begin your journey with us at TCS.  Geared toward our youngest of learners, join us for sing alongs, story time, and other special programming throughout the school year.  Classes are run on an "interest basis" throughout the school year. 

Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Thursday 9:00am-11:00am, Drop-off

In this separation program, qualified teachers work closely with families to aid in the separation process and introduce children to the classroom environment. The teachers create a flexible schedule to meet each child's needs and work in tandem with parents to successfully prepare for the transition to a 2’s program. The goal is to provide a positive learning experience for the child and to set up the entire family for integration into our Preschool. Includes free play, story time, morning meeting songs, and daily sensory play. Class size is limited to 8 children. Program begins mid-October and runs through May.

Age eligibility: For children turning 2 after September 1st.
*Children should be able to walk independently and navigate the classroom and stay awake for the duration of the class. 

Monday–Friday, 9:00am–12:00pm
1:00 with “Lunch Bunch” add on option: stay for lunch and a story after school

Our Two’s program introduces children to hands-on learning experiences, self-exploration, and independence. A warm, loving and nurturing classroom environment allows children to develop collaborative play skills through interactive activities and independent free play. With expert teachers to scaffold their learning, children begin to develop social and emotional skills, build vocabulary and language, and learn to effectively navigate peer relationships. Each day includes free play, guided play, morning meeting, outdoor time, snack, and a story. Class size is limited to 8 children with 2 teachers per classroom. Children do not need to be potty-trained; we work with families individually to make a plan for when your child is ready for the next step.

Age eligibility: Turning 2 years old by September 1st.

2:30 with “Extended Day” add on options Monday–Thursday

The day follows a flexible schedule which includes free play, guided play, and direct instruction. Children are active participants in their learning process, allowing them to contribute ideas and concepts which help drive and develop new curriculum. Each day includes choice time, morning meeting, small groups, and outdoor time. During these times children are exposed to mathematical concepts, pre-reading and writing skills, dramatic play, science and more. Class size is limited to 14 children with 2 teachers per classroom. Children do not need to be fully potty-trained.

Age eligibility: Turning 3 years old by September 1st.

2:30 with “Extended Day” add on options Monday–Thursday

This Pre-K curriculum rooted in play equips your child with the readiness skills needed for Kindergarten. Continuing with free play, guided play, and direct instruction as the catalysts for learning, children explore deeper levels of thinking and expand on pre-attained knowledge. Each day includes free play, morning meeting, small groups, outdoor time, snack, lunch, and choice time activities including science, art, math, writing and dramatic play. Class size is limited to 15 children with 2 teachers per classroom.

Age eligibility: Turning 4 years old by September 1st. 

Monday–Thursday, 1:00pm–2:30pm
For children enrolled in the Threes and Fours Programs

Extend your child’s preschool day with enrichment classes! Choose all or some, Monday through Thursday. Find the perfect program to engage your child in creative, motor, and mind skills. Examples of classes are STEAM, Drama, Yoga, Cooking and Run4Fun Track Club among many others. Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions. Classes change with each session.
