School Closing Policy

We typically close or delay opening to coincide with the Westport Public Schools.  The following guidelines will be followed:

• If Westport schools are closed, TCS Preschool will be closed.
• If Westport Schools have a delayed opening, TCS Preschool will begin at 10:30 am. (Extended Day will remain in session on such days.)
• Cancellation of Extended Day due to weather related concerns will be at the discretion of the Preschool Director, depending on road conditions, the safety of the Synagogue parking lot/driveway and the weather forecast. This decision may be independent of the Westport Public Schools.

The most direct way to learn about the Westport Public School opening/closing information is to call the “snowline” 203/341-1766 (1SNO).  We will be in close contact with you via our emergency notification system, “One Call Now.”  You will receive an automated voice message on your phone, an email, and a text (if you opt in).  To opt in to receive text messages, text the word “ALERT” to 22300.
