Judaic Links on the World Wide Web

It is not surprising that the Jewish Community at large has really established a presence for itself on the Internet. Here are just a few good links that we like.

If you are on AOL go to keyword and type in Jewish Community.

Internet Links

Virtual Jerusalem-This is an inexhaustible site for all. Check out the live action cam of the Western Wall or send a prayer to the Kotel. There is even a page of interesting facts about Jewish entertainers called Kocahvim (stars).

Jewish Post of New York - This is a good source of information on Jewish Life, Jewish News and Jewish Culture.

Andrew Tannenbaum's Judaism and Jewish Resources - This a long list of very diverse Judaic sites on the Web. It is fun to browse.

Maven- this is a search engine for almost 5,000 Judaic sites on the Net. Try it, it's cool!

United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism - This is our parent organization. This site has information about and links to Conservative Synagogues all over the world as well as lots of practical and scholarly information.

Judaism 101 - This is an on-line encyclopedia of Judaism. It offers a wide variety of basic general information.

Jewish Family and Life - This an excellent new parenting site for Jewish families. It has features such as the integration of Judaism into family life, weekly parsha, recipes and a joke of the week. Check this site often as I suspect it will evolve into a great resource.

Jewhoo-This is a very entertaining site with databases of Jewish Actors/Actresses, Athletes, Rock Musicians and more.

Hebcal- Hebcal is an interactive site where with a Jewish calendar that allows you to find out holidays for many years to come. It is also good to find out a particular yahrtzeit date if you know a date from the Gregorian calendar.
