Atid and Kollel Teen Programs
Our teens in our middle school/high school program continue their Jewish learning and connection to TCS.
The 8th graders in our Kehillah Middle program meet once a week from 6:15pm until 8:30pm, where they participate in classes such as You Be the Judge, Holocaust studies, Jewish Soul Cooking, and Israel: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.
For 9th through 12th graders in our Kehillah High program, we are once again offering two learning options for our teens this coming fall – Tuesday evenings and/or Sundays. Twice a month on Sundays, our teens will have the opportunity to study with Rabbi Wiederhorn at Brunch with the Rabbi, and every other Tuesday evening we are offering a class entitled The Struggles of a Jewish State which will be taught by Danny Kochavi and various speakers from Israeli based organizations .
In addition to these two classes we are also going to continue our Tzedakkah Collaborative. Through this program our teens will be able to contribute and raise Tzedakkah monies on an ongoing basis. Teens will also have the opportunity to volunteer throughout the community with organizations such as Midnight Run, theGillespieCenter, Books2connect and more.
Our Kehillah High program offers maximum flexibility. We understand that in any given week or month, teens have various obligations and so all classes are stand alone classes. We invite teens to come to as many classes as they can fit into their schedules over the course of the year – whether it is the Brunch with the Rabbi or The Struggles of a Jewish State. Your registration in our program is for either or both classes.
For information about our Kehillah Middle & High Programs, and to register your child/ren, please contact the Kehillah office at (203) 227-6964.
