Preschool + (Summer Program)
Let The Summer Begin! Download your Preschool Plus Registration application.
School has officially ended. The four’s have graduated and the classrooms are now ready and waiting for Preschool + to commence. We will be taking advantage of the beautiful weather this summer by being outside as much as possible. However, since our building is air conditioned, it is advisable to send your child with a sweatshirt daily or one that can be left in the classroom for the entire three-week session.
Children must wear sneakers or other closed-toe, rubber-soled shoes. SANDALS AND CROCS ARE NOT SAFE FOR OUTDOOR PLAY AND SHOULD NOT BE WORN. Children should be dressed comfortably for play out-of-doors. A hat for protection from the sun should be worn.
Your child will be encouraged to work with materials like paint, markers and glue. Even though we buy washable art products and provide smocks, we cannot guarantee that all stains will wash out. We, therefore, ask that you dress your child in clothes that allow him/her to enjoy all activities and without worry of getting dirty. PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING!
Every day please send your child dressed in a bathing suit with shorts and shirt over the suit. Place underwear or diaper in a plastic bag. Two towels should be brought in on Monday along with a pair of water shoes (jellies or sandals that can get wet) and they will be returned home on Friday. The children will change out of bathing suits after playing in the water.
Tricycles are used for our ride-on toys activity time. We will be using a portioned-off section of the parking lot. The Connecticut State Law mandates that children must wear bike helmets when riding. Safety at The Conservative Synagogue is our first priority. Each child must bring his/her own-labeled helmet to leave in the classroom for the summer. To guard against infection, each child will only be permitted to use his/her own helmet.
