Rain or Shine!
Important DETAILS about Mitzvah Day:
WHERE: Read School, 65 Hawley Avenue, Bridgeport
WHEN: The morning will begin promptly at 10:00AM with a community kick-off with Rabbi Wiederhorn. We anticipate completing most projects by noon. Lunch will be served.
WHO: EVERYONE! There will be projects for ALL ages, including preschool, elementary and middle school.
This is not a drop-off program; all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Read School families will be joining us, to work hand in hand!
WHY: To help our neighbors in need! Let’s work together with our children to teach them about the important Jewish value, ”tikkun olam”, repairing the world. An hour or two of your time will make the world of difference in the lives of others.

WATCH YOUR GARDEN GROW!
Together with the students of Read School, our TCS community will build TWO edible gardens on the school grounds. Under the direction of the professionals from Green Village Initiative, we will SHOVEL dirt, DIG and HAMMER vegetable beds, and PLANT and WATER seedlings to CREATE a viable garden. Let’s give our neighbors the tools to learn the importance of HEALTHY eating.
