Sisterhood

“The best thing about having a sister is that you always have a friend” – Cali Rae Turner

When you join The Conservative Synagogue’s Sisterhood you will surround yourself, not only with exciting and vibrant women, but also with new and old friends. Friends that can make a difference in your life, and together we make a difference in the lives of others.

Did you know our Sisterhood is responsible for the apples and honey the congregation receives on Rosh Hashanah?  We provide the delicious community Break Fast on Yom Kippur where everyone feels like family. Our mitzvah committee reaches out to our congregants in their time of need with meals and more.  We remind our college kids how much we miss them with holiday packages from the College Connection. Did you know we welcome every new baby with love and gifts from Shalom baby? Hanukkah shopping is made fun and easy at our Hanukkah Boutique. And that’s not all! We make sure that there is time for socializing with our friends with Ladies Night Out and special programs.

Please become a member of the Sisterhood and join us –  call the office for an applicationWe would love your help and we would love your friendship. We promise you won’t be disappointed. Together sisters can do anything.

Warmly,

Nancy Cohen and Amy Sheinberg

DO YOU HAVE COLLEGE KIDS?

Join the College Connection! Four times a year your college student can receive a holiday package from the Sisterhood.  Packages are sent for Rosh Hashanah, Hannukah, Purim and Passover.  Who doesn’t like to receive a package filled with kosher snacks and fun surprises? Let your college students know that you are thinking about them and that they are still part of our Jewish community even when they are away from home.

Here’s what the college kids are saying:

“I was really touched by the Sisterhood’s holiday packages. These baskets are a truly fantastic way to remind us at school that we still have a home at TCS”- Bailey Kleban

“As an observant and active Jewish member on a campus of only a few, getting fun things to remind me and celebrate the holidays are an awesome surprise every once in awhile.” – Alex Willick
