Jewish Cultural Arts Council (JCAC)

Over the years, our Congregation has proudly sponsored many Jewish cultural events. We have hosted musical programs as well as artist events, musical theater nights that showcased our talented congregants, and programs that featured performing groups such as The Boston Camerata, The New Yiddish Chorale, University A Cappella Choirs, and numerous solo performers. Our synagogue is also the home of the Jewish film library that we share with the entire community.

Last month, a group of TCS members met to discuss the idea of forming a council to help facilitate cultural arts programming at our synagogue. At our first meeting, we discussed a wide range of programming ideas that we would like to develop at the synagogue, from a film series to musical programs, a teen musical, as well as a Jewish themed theater event. We hope to involve all ages with a variety of programs that will bring Jewish performers and artists to our synagogue, share the talents of our own members, and develop an audience for performers/artists who are preserving our culture and creating new works to express the many facets of our religion, our culture and our love of Israel.
